The Origins of Cinema, the very first publication of Reel to Reel Institute, is a storybook written in Cantonese with English translation, introduces the origins and technological development of the cinema. By illustrating early colour techniques and unique cinema viewing experience accompanied by live sounds, the book intends to change the boring impression of ‘silent’ films.
Based on the content and exquisite illustrations of the book, some 8/16mm short films will also be shown in the sharing sessions. Let’s experience the charm of film projection!
